The majority of women know that dark colors are more slimming than light. Black is one of the most slimming colors, but try this season’s dark plumy, berry colors, which will also work too. However, the cut, fabric and style of an outfit makes a huge difference to your silhouette. How to Look Slimmer

Here are 7 style tips which you may be less familiar with in order to create a more slimline you:

 

 ·  Results of recent scientific  research from the UK’s York University show that horizontal stripes can give the illusion of being more slimming than vertical ones. However, wearing a single or multiple vertical stripes will lengthen your silhouette and diagonal stripes can make you look leaner.

·  Layering your outfit is more slimming than a single piece providing you don’t wear bulky or too tight fabrics. Good quality fabrics that hang rather than cling to every lump and bump are more flattering. Interestingly, loose floppy outfits, rather than hide your excesses, can actually make you look larger than you are.

·  V-necks, square-necks or deep round-necks will lengthen your torso by showing off your décolletage. It will make you look less bulky than a high round neck or turtle neck, especially if you need to minimize a big-bust.

·  Hemline lengths are all important. The most slimming length for short and medium-height women is just on, or just above the knee. Taller women can wear longer hemlines well.

·  Tapered trousers (peg-style pants) are the scourge of women’s fashion. Very few women can carry them off with aplomb. Tapered styles have the ability to make your hips look bigger and your legs look shorter. A traditional boot-cut is far more slimming and leg-lengthening.

·  When it comes to fashion accessories, wide corset-style belts can give the illusion of a waist, and therefore a more slimming hour-glass figure. Even if you are bulky round the middle, a cinch-waisted belt will actually give shape and form to a silhouette. Long necklaces will serve to elongate your body, in contrast to a piece worn at the neckline.

·  High heels elongate the leg and make ankles and feet look thinner. They can turn around an outfit in a moment, from frumpy to stylish. If you want to appear taller then wear hosiery that matches your dress or skirt, so the line of your outfit continues down to your shoes

Even if the hairstyle has to be redone, however, these styles should keep even fuzzy, tangly hair neater than they would otherwise be, cutting down on combing time.

Wear Hairstyles That Confine the Hair

The less room hairs have to move about, the less mischief they can get into! French-style braids, which braid the hair from the hairline down the back of the head, are longer-lasting than English-style braids which start at the nape of the neck. Double braids are similarly more confining than single braids. At the extreme end of the spectrum, lots of little braids like cornrows usually stay neat for a very long time (although they take some time to style initially). For a hairstyle that lasts for a week or more, cornrows are worth doing; for a style that only needs to last a day or two, double French braids should be sufficient.

Different types of braids such as French, Dutch and herringbone stay neat; rope braids tend to become “fuzzy” very quickly. Five-strand braids take practice to get right, but are very sturdy and confining once completed.

Oil Hair to Prevent Fuzziness

Oiling hair  is a bit of an art – slathering oil on the hair will just make it look greasy. Using a light oil to give the hair the faintest touch of shine will help prevent braids from becoming fuzzy and flyaway at night. Braiding damp hair may also help give a smoother look. In the morning, smoothing water or a drop of oil over the braids may help to smooth them back down.

General conditioning of hair will also help it stay neat and reduce flyaways.

Nutrition to Grow Hair Fast

According to CNN Food Central, the body requires 13 vitamins to operate. Vitamin A, B, C, D and E are vital for hair to grow fast. Eat foods have these vitamins in abundance. Get vitamin A from liver, fish oil, eggs, dark-green leafy vegetables and red, yellow and orange vegetables and fruits. Vitamin B1 includes whole-grain products, and vitamin B2 includes milk, cereal, nuts and kidney.

For vitamin C, eat citrus fruits. Get vitamin D from cheese, fortified milk and some fish such as sardines and salmon. Vitamin E is available in foods made from nuts, vegetable oils, seeds and leafy green vegetables. Soy protein foods such as tofu are good for hair because hair is made up of protein.

Hair Care to Grow Hair Fast

Give the hair a hot oil massage to improve the scalp’s blood circulation, which makes the hair grow quicker. Apply coconut or castor oil to the hair for a minimum of one hour—the hair should absorb the oil properly before washing it out. Trim hair at least once every five to six weeks to remove split ends and dry hair. Once the hair forms split ends, it stops growing.

Try to limit washing the hair to once a week using cold water and a gentle shampoo because hot water and harsh shampoos can destroy the hair. Refrain from blow-drying the hair to avoid damaging it. Brush hair once every morning and evening for better scalp circulation.

 Many people know how to be confident because they choose to be confident. You may know some people who appear to have been born confident, but confidence is a state of mind not an inherent trait.

People tend to think that being confident is a direct result of feeling good about yourself when, really, it is more complex than that.

You can have a very high opinion of yourself but if others don't recognize and appreciate your worth, chances are, you won't be too confident.

Just as you wouldn't be too confident if everyone around you adored your every move but you felt terrible about yourself.

The key to being confident is to mingle a positive self image with a feeling of acceptance by those around you.

The following simple steps should get you well on your way to a more confident air.

1. Have no fear.

Statistically, rejection is insignificant. For every one time you are rejected, you will be accepted ten times, providing your goals are realistic.

You may get 10 rejections before your accepted the due 100, but that just gives you something to look forward to, hope.

Hope breeds happiness and happiness dispels fear.

2. Fake it `til you make it.

If they want a duck, walk like one, talk like one, they will think you are one, and soon you will be one. Have you ever told a lie so well that even you believed it was true?

Some people that you have encountered, who seemed to exude confidence, may have been complete frauds, but probably not for very long.

Inevitably if you pretend to be something for long enough, you will become it. Others tend to be drawn to those who are confident so in faking it, you give them a chance to see your positive attributes and gain their acceptance.

3. Dress the part

Always look your best. Sure you can run to the market in your curlers and bathrobe, but don't expect to feel like you can take on the world because if eye contact is made you will feel nothing less than mortified.

You will feel much more confident when you feel like you look nice. If you have to go all out to feel attractive then do it, each and every time there is potential for you to be rejected by anyone, in any way, shape, or form.

At least you will be able to walk away with your head held high.

4. Mix things up.

A sense of accomplishment will obviously make you feel more confident. So quit putting off those new ventures, whatever they may be.

Something to do for fun, to add to your resume, to make you more interesting, just dive into it, remember, no fear.

Seems simple enough, right? So get out there and show them all what you are made of and evolve into a newly confident you! You have nothing to lose and nowhere to go but up. Now you know how to be confident and I am confident in that.    

HHow to be a better lover
Anyone can become a better lover. Mostly what that requires is a desire to give and receive love more deeply.  Giving love better means tuning into your partner and offering them more of what opens their heart and body.  They may be opened by the ways you touch them, and the ways you speak to them, and the ways you look at them.  Receiving love better means letting your partner in deeper, and allowing them to open you.  Rather than resist them, you allow them to penetrate your body and heart.  All this can actually take place with minimal body contact.  Most people don’t realize this but the most powerful aspects of making love do not actually require touch!

Nonetheless, touch and technique is still important.

And many couples find it helpful to occasionally teach their partners how they like to be touched.  In truth, the ways we like to be made love to can change over time.  And our partners won’t know what we need unless we show them.  So one homework exercise I often give the couples in my therapy room is what I call “Sex School”.  When you take your partner to sex school, you make love to them the way you want to be made love to.  So you actually role play that you are them, making love to you.  In this way you can demonstrate EXACTLY how you would like them to come on to you, how you want them to interact with your body, how you want them to love you.  Make a point of showing them with your eyes, your hands, your tone of voice, and your words.  Your partner is your student, and you want to teach them clearly.

If you do this exercise correctly, you will feel quite self-conscious because it will make you feel vulnerable.  Anytime we show up more sexually, it makes us feel a bit frightened.  This is why people tend to get stuck in sexual ruts – they feel much safer, and we have less on the line when we simply repeat old sexual patterns rather than try out new behaviors.  But sexual ruts are never good for a couple’s sex life.  So, take the plunge, take your partner to sex school, and move your sex life in a new and exciting direction.  And let us know how it goes for you – as always, we’d love to hear from you!
